Also, what was up with Robin being redrawn/rewritten as Protector in this comic? So weird.
It was a sponsorship thing. Another cookie company had the rights to Batman and Robin and this anti-drug comic was sponsored by Keebler.
I also feel the nostalgia. I wish DC held this series up as a classic as much as Marvel used to hold Uncanny X-Men back in the day.
Something about those “old” PSA comics makes me really happy. I have a few in my collection and they are as ham-fisted they are earnest. Thank you for the moment of wistfulness, Mr. Sterling.
