It was a sponsorship thing. Another cookie company had the rights to Batman and Robin and this anti-drug comic was sponsored by Keebler.
I also feel the nostalgia. I wish DC held this series up as a classic as much as Marvel used to hold Uncanny X-Men back in the day.
