    “When The Machines Went Mad” — that is an awesome cover and the character looks like a prototype for Iron Man!

    Marvel should seriously be reprinting facsimile editions of some of these classic Atlas Comics period titles including pre-Thor issues of “Journey Into Mystery.”

    I looked it up and it is a Jack “King” Kirby drawn cover–but I have to wonder if that striking robot image was stuck in Steve Ditko’s subconscious mind when he redesigned Iron Man’s armor…?

    I think there was another cover or two that MIGHT have been theoretical prototypes of Iron Man.
