Surprise ‘Low Content Mode” post!
Sorry, pals, time was not on my side and I couldn’t pull together a new Predictions Post installment for today.
We’ll pick back up on Monday, and in the meantime…thanks for reading!

Re: your Bluesky posting on Green Lantern no. 27, can anybody name all twenty or so of the Green Lanterns prominently featured
on that epic Brian Bolland cover (not counting the ones that are drawn so tiny and/or obscured by shadow in the background)? Also, it’s been decades since I read that comic and I forgot why Hal Jordan is sporting two power rings; I’m guessing another member of the Green Lantern Corps bit the dust?
* Green Lantern no. 127
There’s a partial description here. I don’t remember the story itself, it’s been too long, but apparently other GLs do die in the story so it’s not hard to imagine Hal grabbing a second ring for battle (whether it happens in the story or not).
Thanks for the Green Lantern info., Mike!
Yes,some of those Tales of the Teen Titans reprints have better covers–thanks to Brian Bolland–than the original printings of those same stories on Baxter paper did. I also recall a really great DC Comics Presents cover that Bolland drew featuring Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes.
I could only name Katma Tui, but I miss that big bunch of weirdos. The round crystal guy most of all.
I like the sentient planet- Mongo!
@ Snark Shark
There’s a sentient-planet Green Lantern named “Mongo?”
Is it a pastiche of Ego the Living Planet and the homeworld of Ming the Merciless or what…?
I dunno the inspiration, but Mongo first appeared in a story called “Mongo doesn’t Socialize”, By Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons.
The name might be spelled differently, it’s been awhile.
