“NOT LETHAL WHOSE BODY THE BLAST”
And then there was the time we found in a collection a yellowing comic bag containing Mr. Fantastic and Giant-Man figures cut out of some interior pages:
When you flip the bag over to the other side, suddenly you have crazy super-monsters straight out of Grant Morrison’s Doom Patrol:
Why, that’s not nightmarish in the slightest.
That reversed Giant-man is awesome. He looks almost like some freaky Ditko villain (if you don’t notice the word balloon on his fingers, I guess).
Agreed, that almost looks like an intentional (if crazy) costume.
Holy shit, what are the odds that their backsides would be their backsides!?
I feel like if I could have ever cut anything that neatly my life would have turned out completely differently.
Found art is my favorite kind, and these are museum quality. Thanks, Mike, for having the eyes to see art where none was intended!
Really neat! It wouldn’t be as good though, if the characters were not clipped out so precisely.
I’ll add that I’m going to file this technique for appropriation (the gentleman artist’s way of stealing) for projects someday.
get some blank paper and make your own comic book!
you get the WACKIEST stuff in your store sometimes.
