Meanwhile, young Ferrett (who liked to threaten smart kids), Bruno (who liked to beat kids up), and British exchange student Constantine (who liked magic, con jobs, and blowing things up), decided to oppose Alec’s “Fit To Win” club and joined Ellery’s Conclave gang, instead…
I was going to make some kind of comment about Alec now being in charge of the local Aryan Nation chapter, because y’know, he was kicked out of the Tea Party for being too extreme, when I noticed this:
I think I had this comic. I had at least one of these Tandy Computer Whiz Kids comics; I remember a newspaper reporter sending her story back to the office over the phone lines using her TRS-80 Model 100 with an acoustic coupler modem.

That thumbs-up is just oozing sarcasm.
Alec’s neck is turned at an unnatural angle in the last panel. What they’re really saying is cool is the fact that his head is turning a full 360.
So is this a young Alec Holland?
Why do all the non asian kids all have mammoth, pearly white teeth?

… Tandy Computer …
…excuse me …there’s something in my eye …

Tandy is dandy, but liquor is quicker. ;)
Fit to win sounds very National Socialist…
You may know young Alec better by his superhero name, Ozymandius.
War Is Peace; Freedom Is Slavery; Fit To Win! All Hail Oceania!
I hated kids like Alec at school… grrr
I *knew* Eddie Campbell was always a nerd.
