Christopher Lee (1922 – 2015).
Oh man, just how amazing was this guy? From playing Dracula, to recording heavy metal albums in his nineties, to this terrifying bit of information, to this musical piece from an obscure superhero parody, to hangin’ with J.R.R. Tolkien, to…well, just Google him up, everybody‘s talking about the life this man had. And boy, did he ever have one. Pal Andrew speaks more eloquently about his impact than I ever could.
So long, Mr. Lee. You will absolutely be missed, but thankfully you left behind an immense body of work that we can continue to enjoy and remember you by.
With all due respect to Mr Lee… he was 93. I’m far more upset at the early loss of “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes today. 69 years young, and WAY TOO SOON, bay-bee.
Men with lives like his were how legends were born.
Mike: nice tribute. Thanks.
MordWa: to paraphrase Sterling Archer: you can be two things.
MordWa – I don’t have any particular connection or appreciation for Dusty Rhodes…I’m sorry he passed away at too young an age, and my sympathies for his fans. But I do have an extensive appreciation for the work of Mr. Lee, which is why I focused my post on him.
I can’t eulogize everybody.
Lee was WAY COOL. and how many men got to play both Frankensteins Monster AND Dracula?
