A brief message…
…just to thank all of you for your well-wishing and support and eBay purchases and what have you in response to my announcement on Monday. This was a pretty big decision to make, even after thinking about it and planning it out for so long, and it helps ease my trepidation receiving such encouragement from my family, my friends, and all of you guys ‘n’ gals.
Again, thank you, and hopefully when next I write something here I’ll have more news about how things are progressing. Like, oh, I don’t know, maybe finally getting the power turned on. C’MON, EDISON.
Just wanted to make sure you got these suggestions which will, if followed, ensure your continued comfort and success:
(1) Make sure to install a large window in the front of the store so you can replace it on a fairly regular basis and
(2) Stock ONLY Silver Age comics so the name of the store is completely correct.
Obviously, you should always stock at least a dozen copies of 1000 COMIC BOOKS YOU MUST READ.
My suggestion for the store is that, just beside the racks in some fashion (depending on the store layout) you get the “THEN: KOREA!” panel blown up and turned into a sign. I’d never stop buying comics there if I lived nearby.
Have you found someone to stand near the Marvel and DC comics reading a copy of Peter Bagge’s “Hate” while silently judging everyone?
D. – I plan on wearing many hats.
Wow great news Mike!
And just in time as I’m moving back down to SoCal!!!!!!
Good luck with everything.
“THEN: KOREA!”
have it PAINTED on the side of the building!
Congrats on the big news. Just pulled the trigger on the Batman television series using your link as a show of support. Good luck!
