…so here’s a Comic Images card trading card from 1988, featuring Galactus:

Somewhere there is fanfic somehow linking this guy to Galactus. …Unless I’m the first, in which case I’m not sure I could live with that burden.

BONUS: A History of the X-Men sticker from 1987 featuring Farouk AKA The Shadow King:

…Whaddaya mean, you don’t think that’s a bonus? I thought you people liked dudes in fezzes.

Nothing says “lowered expectations” quite like late 80s Comic Images trading cards.

I like the WORD fez. 15 points or more in SCRABBLE.

  • I thought everybody knew about Galen using his technomagic to live through the Big Crunch. That’s accepted cannon, man. In fact, I just finished my latest opus regarding the second half of Galen’s pre-Big Crunch life, after consuming the dying Phoenix force and reigniting the Centauri line.

Surely you’ve heard of it. I mean, it’s very well reviewed and quite highly regarded. Seriously, even darkbabyLON93, who everybody knows is JMS under a sockpuppet, said it was really good.

    The first person? Please.
