No post today.
…Yeah, I know, I suck. Sorry, it’s just been one of those weeks so far, and it’s only…about five minutes past midnight on Tuesday as I write this? Urgh.
Anyway, I am going to get to the New 52 comments eventually, I promise, and I’m working on other site content-type stuff, so I’m not going anywhere. But, you know…Christmastime abhors a vacuum, and my free time has been pretty much shot for the next day or three. I’ll be back up to speed eventually, but for the time being…please have some patience, and sorry for the lack of real, or at least coherent, content.
…Er, yeah. No post today. See you tomorrow, with any luck.
Here’s a blogging question, since you’ve been doing thios longer than I have: do you post every night at midnight? I’d think some of your posts in particular would take some time – End of Civilization, for sure. Ever work ahead? “Hey, it’ll be so-and-so’s birthday on January 17, and I have an idea; I’ll write it now?” Frankly, it’s the ONLY way I’ve been able to post every day. I have already written my 2012 blogposts for January 15, February 1, 7, and 10, and, oddly, September 25.
I refuse to accept this! I pay good money for my Internet account, my wifi router, and my mobile device, and I’m entitled to quality free daily content from providers such as yourself regardless of whether I click your ads, and I don’t want to read any of your whining. Now get off your lazy bottom and start scanning and typing, or I shall be forced to take my business elsewhere! Hmpf!
No worries -if anyone deserves a rest it’s you my friend. Christmastime is always a big ball of too-much-to-do.
I think you need a vacation, Mike. We need you fresh and ready to blog for the upcoming new year!
You absolutely do NOT suck! You are awesome and I love your blog and your posts are great! I hope your week improves dramatically, and go easy on yourself, man!
Thanks, everyone.
Roger – I usually don’t write things up too far ahead of time, but I might plan for things and work on them the day before they post. I’ve known what my post for Christmas is going to be for weeks now, for example, but I haven’t scanned anything or written anything up yet. But I’ve got the title and everything figured out way in advance.
For End of Civilization posts, I do start prepping a day early, since we get the Previews on Tuesday, and the post is a lot of work.
But, regardless, with the exception of the rare Lunchtime Work Updates, I set the time on every post to 12:01 AM. Not sure why…just started doing it a few years ago and never stopped.
How can there be a blog post saying there’s not blog post?
