In a good and fair world, there would be multiple Plastic Man series on the shelves. Just plain ol’ Plastic Man, Plastic Man in FBI Agent Comics, Plastic Man and Woozy, Plastic Man: The Pliable Pretzel, and so on.

I just happened to re-read the Kyle Baker series a couple of weeks ago, and whole-heartedly agree with this statement. Can anyone suggest any other worthwhile Plastic Man stories/issues to check out? Aside from the Baker series, the Saturday morning cartoon when I was a child and a MAD parody, my exposure to the character is pretty limited.
I enjoyed the brief 1976 revival (primarily drawn by Ramona Fradon) which expanded upon Plas’ partners at the “NBI” (adding ditzy Sundae Supplement and childishly jealous Agent Foyle to Woozy Winks and the Chief) and set Plas up against such foes as Meat By-Product and the Doc Ock parody Dr. Forklift.
I’d buy *A* series like that or Kyle Baker’s. And I still can’t suss out why a Plas movie hasn’t happened yet.

You can’t go past the original Jack Cole material, reprinted in the DC Plastic Man Archives.
Unless you don’t have $50 — per volume — in your pocket, in which case you can go past quite easily.
Was this the Earth-1 Plastic Man or does Batman travel to Earth-X?
I think Morrison’s “JLA” series had some excellent stories with Plastic Man. And the Cole’s Comics blog features classic Plas stories pretty often…
Would I buy a monthly comic titled “The Pliable Pretzel”?
HELLS YES!!!
I concur about the Jack Cole Archive books. Also, if you can get your hands on this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Plastic-Man-Annual-80-Page-Giant-Jack-Cole-DC-Comics-/390308152429 it is a decent plastic-primer.

The Foglio miniseries was also good.
I would love to live in a world with multiple Plastic Man titles.
