ATTENTION COSPLAYERS ATTENDING THE SAN DIEGO COMIC CON.
You might as well give it up, because you can’t beat this:
Scanned from FOOM #10 (June 1975). I sure hope the poor guy had some battery-operated fans in there. Also, he wasn’t carrying a sign – that’s the title of the article superimposed over the photo. I only mention it because I know you jokers will crack wise about it in the comments.
I’m going home and going to bed. It’s pretty clear I won’t see anything more awesome than this today.
I’ve seen several Man-Thing costumes over the years, but had NO idea someone made something as awesome as this as far back as 1975.
Whoever is in that costume… bravo!
~P~
The title banner is censoring his man-thing.
Boy, you’re certainly getting a lot of mileage out of FOOM and making me really curious about the issues I haven’t seen. I was a member for a couple of years back in the seventies. I still have some of the fan club items as you can see here:

Whatever knows fashion sense burns at his touch…
cool! that’s the first one of these FOOM pics I remember, I got a membership late in the mags run.
You’re giving up on FOOM content, when you still have not got around to Koga the Man-Squid, the first black underwater superhero?
I heard he was discriminated against by the furries for not being a “real” animal.
Maybe so, but I bet he was a big hit with the peelies.
Im no pro, but I feel you just crafted the best point. You naturally understand what youre speaking about, and I can really get behind that. Thanks for staying so upfront and so genuine.
