I’m just going to post a few links because I’m lazy.
- Rich Handley, keeper of Roots of the Swamp Thing, talked to the writer of the aborted Vertigo Swamp Thing series and reveals a few tantalizing details of what could have been.
- I know I’ve already plugged Bully the Little Stuffed Bull once this week, but seriously, this new post is amazing.
- I forgot to link this when I saw it, but Reader Erik was good enough to remind me: When Batman Met Nancy. (And now for some reason I’m picturing an angered Sluggo seeking vengeance upon the Caped Crusader…with Sluggo all done up like the Joker. …ONCE SEEN, IT CANNOT BE UNSEEN.)
- Dr. Strange superfan and Bizarro Comics Blogger #1 Neilalien takes the most recent Dr. Strange mini-series, pins it down, and punches it repeatedly. P at Sanctum Sanctorum slaps it around a bit as well.
- Swanderful celebrates the wonderful art of Curt Swan, and I haven’t plugged it here in a while: here’s a good recent entry focusing on a ’70s splash page by Swan with no Superman costume to be seen.
- I’d pretty much decided that I’d been reading the Justice League titles too long when this character showed up.
- BATTLE OF THE STEREOTYPES!
- And if I may plug myself (ahem)…and my pals, I’m still writing for Fake AP Stylebook, still contributing to The Bureau Chiefs (including writing several submissions for the News Briefs that pal Dorian curates…I wrote all of Wednesday’s entry!), and still selling related goodies via the Zazzle store. Buy lots…Mike needs new shoes!

Seriously, I check Fake AP style at least 5 times a day just for the news briefs. Dorian doesn’t seem to mention them much on his blog, so I thought I would give you both a thumbs up here.
This has forever altered my perception of Batman

There was actually a POG-themed animated series? I shouldn’t be surprised, really…
The best part about that Slammers cartoon was the kid’s Misfit-esque Devil Lock.
