The end of an era. Contemplating Sluggo-less Saturdays makes me sad face. :( I guess I will have to look forward to the World Without Sluggo and Reign of the Sluggos story arcs.
At first I was not a fan of Sluggo Saturdays. It was an interruption of your witty and insightful reports on your love of Swamp Thing, your tyrannical rule of the comic shop, your love of Swamp Thing, your reviews of comics, your love of Swamp Thing and, of course, your love of Swamp Thing. However, I came to appreciate the odd offbeat quirks of Sluggo Saturdays and now find myself sad to see it end. Saturdays without Sluggo will be less surreal, less surprising.
And thanks to you for introducing us to the world of Ernie Bushmiller.
What Andres said.
I’ve enjoyed it immensely, Mike! Thanks for the efforting and the laughs!
Wow, perfect ending, can’t wait to see what’s up your comic sleeve next. :)
I’m going to miss these. Good show sir!
Rip Off
I was wondering who does 104, then I realize that was exactly 2 years. So you DO have a plan on this blog!
BTW, I mentioned you in mine: http://www.rogerogreen.com/2011/04/29/april-rambling/
I, for one, await with great anticipation the new item introduced at the end of the post, “Three Rocks Saturdays.”
Now what am I to do with my Saturdays, if not to contemplate Sluggo?
Two years is just about right. It’s been a delightful feature. My wife enjoys it too.
Two years of fun. Thanks, Mike.
You can’t take my Sluggo away! YOU JUST CAN”T!!!
Seriously, way to go out with style and thanks for the ride. I’m gonna miss my weekly Sluggo.

Not to mention Brightest Sluggo, Sluggo Lost, and The Infinity Sluggo.
It was a good run. Way to stick to it, Mike.
Mike, may I suggest “Herbie Popnecker Saturday” as a replacement?
It was an awesome feature, Mike. It will be missed.
You’ve done a man’s job, sir.
Thank you so much.

What will I do first thing in the morning on Saturday now?
Always loved these, Mike. Thanks for two years of Sluggo goodness.
Wow. Nicely done.
I’ll miss these days.
I’ll second the Herbie suggestion.
As the Buddha sat beneath the tree and realized the way to enlightenment for us all, so did Sluggo behind the fence.
Mike, this is depressing, but you ended it masterfully.
I think you should be doing comic strips. Seriously.
Comics imitate life… (weepy sniffle) Sluggo found what he was looking for.
Thank you, Mike.
I’ll miss Sluggo Saturday. After “End of Civilization” it’s my favourite regular feature.
But it was a great two years! Great work, Mike.
Eagerly awaiting Swamp Thing Sundays next week.
Swamp Thing Sundays are good… Superman Sundays are better.
Peace!
It’s been rad, thank you for all the Sluggo Saturdays!
Incidentally, every single time I saw the Sluggo Saturday posts I heard this song in my head, with “Sluggo” instead of “Sunless.”

But I actually did like Sluggo Saturdays, so it was weird.

That was a hoot. Thanks as always, Mr. Sterling, for the internet fun.
I’ll miss this so much…good thing I have an old Nancy paperback handy : ) … Maybe “Archie Saturdays” can replace this? ;)
NO! Or as Nancy and Sluggo used to say, “Nix”.
Nooooooooooo! Wwwhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyy!
